Here I was attending my Information Architecture Class at 7:43 pm on a Tuesday evening listening to my professor say — “Human beings understand visuals better than words. Languages are complex.” And it got me thinking — but we communicate in words? Yet our eyes are reluctant on reading, but they appreciate form.

How far have I come from August 2023?

On August 12th 2023, I arrived in Bloomington with much enthusiasm about conquering it all in the states. I had a list of tasks, milestones, and skills to master in the next two years. I was determined on learning everything.

As of August 31st 2024, I have finished my first week of classes.

ABOUT

this is how I got here, from Fashion Design in New Delhi, to building AI Products in Bellevue, WA.

I'm an artist first. Everything else I do is built on top of it.

I solve problems for a living,

design with intent

research before assuming

and build user experiences with AI.

My background includes a MS and a BA which makes me look at design & art holistically. I moved from fashion to UX — I realized systems across products, content, information need to be as cohesive as a garment. Turns out form and function are inseparable in both. My mixed-methods background finally makes sense :)

to design in code so I could ship it.

Now I'm designing at Verde - building an AI dashboard for small business owners,

from 0 to 1.

I've also helped invent digital teach-back

at WebMD Ignite (prev Healthwise), with a prototype for 1.8M+ patients worldwide.

Healthcare is where I learnt the

value of intentional design with AI

as forgotten information has medical consequences.

Between building copalm.ai & Healthwise, I was a product design fellow at Handshake AI, training models and learning what good output looks like from the inside.

Prior to that was Branding and eCommerce - 2 years at Transformative Ventures building systems that served 800k people, with visual design before that at esoverse. One redesign there drove $1.2M; another flopped because I skipped the research. That's where research-before-assuming became how I work.

I design for the long term, and I stay close enough to the problem to let it keep surprising me.
